Department of Psychology · Bemidji State University
Associate Professor of Social and Community Psychology, researching sexual violence prevention and organizational child safety.
Read about my research →I am an Associate Professor of Social and Community Psychology at Bemidji State University. I hold a PhD in Applied Psychology from Portland State University and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan.
My scholarly interests center on sexual violence prevention. I have conducted research surrounding the prevention of campus sexual assault, the prevention of child sexual abuse in organizational settings, and perceptions of media and policy surrounding those who perpetrate sexual violence. I use both quantitative and qualitative methods in my work.
My favorite class to teach is Research Methods, because I love seeing students pursue their own interests and get excited about thinking critically. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading fiction, watching bad reality television, and spending time with my dog, Fred.
